David W. Linzey, DVM
Education: North Carolina State University
Dr. Linzey is a 1994 graduate of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, NC. Since that time, he has practiced small animal and emergency medicine in Taylorsville and Hickory, NC. Dr. Linzey and his wife, Debi, established the emergency clinic in 2005 and reside in Boone, NC. They have two daughters: Holly is a registered nurse in Denver, CO and Lindsey is a registered dietician and nutrition counselor in California. Dr. Linzey is active in the organized veterinary medicine community and is a past-president of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. He continues to support North Carolina veterinarians by planning and coordinating continuing education conferences and works closely with the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine with ongoing training events. Outside of work, Dr. Linzey enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, camping, hiking, beekeeping, beer brewing and spending time with his family and three dogs, Chena, Tanka, and Sienna.
Becky Bailey, DVM
Education: Texas A&M
Dr. Bailey has over 25 years of small animal and exotic practice experience. She loves all creatures, but has a special medical interest in cats, dogs, birds, and bunnies. Dr. Bailey also enjoys soft tissue surgery and dentistry. Her leisure time is spent bird watching with her family and playing with her horses on their small farm.
Emily Beard, DVM
Education: Iowa State University
Dr. Emily Beard recently joined AEPCC doing part time GP and emergency. She is originally from the Boston area, and graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, she also has a Masters of Public Health from the University of Iowa. She practiced in a small mixed animal practice in rural northern Maine for two years before relocating away from the snow to the Wilkesboro area.
Eryn Edman, DVM
Education: Washington State University
Dr. Edman recently joined AEPCC doing primarily Emergency work. She is originally from Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Edman graduated from Washington State University in 2014 and then moved to Los Angeles for a small animal rotating internship at ASG (Animal Specialty Group). After the completion of a one-year surgical internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialist Dr. Edman decided to move to Boone for the mountains. She enjoys winter sports, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and being outside in general.
Kelly Sulik, DVM
Education: Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kelly Sulik is a magna cum laude graduate of the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a native North Carolinian who currently resides in Tryon, NC, where she owns and operates a mobile small animal clinic. She has family in Boone, and enjoys practicing emergency medicine by doing relief work at the Animal Emergency and Pet Care Clinic of the High Country. She spends her free time riding her horse, Brio, and spending time with her four dogs and her partner, Scott.
